Our Stories
Telling our stories is important. When we speak openly and honestly about what we're facing, and how we cope, we find strength and provide hope. We challenge stereotypes. And we increase understanding, and reduce isolation.
Topics include CF-life balance, travel, exercise, relationships, parenting, mental health and more. |
CF Advocacy
If you're experiencing a challenge or barrier, chances are you are not alone. Speaking up can improve hospital systems and government policies.
We see the primary role of CF Voice as identifying gaps and bringing these to the attention of our CF organisations so they can advocate on our behalf. We strive to work collaboratively with our CF organisations to improve services, employment opportunities, and medical care for people with CF. |
CF Voice Meetings
1st Saturday of each month
CF Voice meetings provide a forum for discussing common challenges and identifying gaps in supports and services. Meetings are open to all Australian adults with CF. It's really important we have a diversity of viewpoints so please don't be shy. Drop in to simply listen, or raise an issue for discussion.
Login details (Zoom links) are shared through our Australian CF Hub facebook group. Alternatively, contact us to receive login details via email. Note: We do not record chats. . |
What is CF advocacy?
CF advocacy is about promoting and protecting the rights and interests of people with CF. It's about identifying systemic issues that create barriers for people with CF. And it's about working collaboratively with CF Australia and state CF organisations to bring about positive change.

What is health advocacy?
"Advocates support and promote the rights of the patient in the health care arena, help build capacity to improve community health and enhance health policy initiatives focused on available, safe and quality care. Patient-centered care is one of the overreaching goals of health advocacy, in addition to safer medical systems, and greater patient involvement in healthcare delivery and design.” Wikipedia

Your privacy matters
